It’s Thankful Thursday hosted by Brian of Brian’s Home. He wants us to post what we’re thankful for. Thanks Brian! Has it really been that long since I participated in Thankful Thursday? I am such an awful blogger! LOL!
I keep telling myself I am going to make more time. 😄
I am thankful for so much in my life right now but I know I would not be where I am today without this guy- this amazing man I call hubby.

I couldn't tell you the last time I set foot in a church for services to worship. I miss it at times and maybe one day I will find a church to be part of. I am thankful that God continues to allow me to wake up to my family in the mornings. Even through the hardest moments when I didn't want to acknowledge him, he has been by my side. 👣
Through this pandemic and my arduous job search that has lasted almost two years, he has been listening to me complain about every rejection email - I swear he told me to just relax and have patience. It took over a month, but I was finally blessed with a job offer working for the state of Texas. When I set out to secure a job for my family I wasn't looking for a title. I almost knew that I would probably not get benefits. I also knew that I would probably be working weekends and different days.
I never expected the job that came my direction would be a Monday - Friday job, weekends and holidays off, full benefits with retirement, and include teleworking. So, today I am so THANKFUL and BLESSED beyond belief that Lindsey, the hiring specialist that kept in contact with me, stepped out on a limb and gave me a chance. 🥰

While we should always be thankful for what we have on an every day basis, today I so THANKFUL for being able to wake up and celebrate with my family. The last several years have been absolute chaos, and not just pandemic-wise. We didn't get together and have a huge family Thanksgiving, like we have done in the past. This is probably the 4th year that we have just celebrated with the four of us. After my husband's TBI he has a very hard time being around a bunch of people, especially young children. It's more than likely due to sensory issues now. Nothing new. We have dealt with this because of our daughter having Autism. It seems to go hand in hand.
So, we decided to put together some homemade goodies and our dinner turned out so delicious!!! Happy Thanksgiving! 🦃
