Welcome to the Lucy Swiss Library! The first libraries began when people began organizing a collection of documents and consisted of archives of the earliest writings, some dating back as early as 2600 BC! Libraries today provide a plethora of materials such as books, periodicals, newspapers, manuscripts, films, maps, prints, documents, microform, CDs, cassettes, videotapes, DVDs, Blu-ray Discs, e-books, audiobooks, databases, table games, video games and other formats. That is quite a collection!! Did you know that Jen was once a Library Director? Yes, she ran a small library for a year and a half, and it was one of her favorite jobs.
